Training to Raise Standards, Guidance to Support Progression: HNUST's 2026 International Student Admissions Program
时间:2026-05-03
To strengthen the institutional foundation and enhance the professional competence of the admissions team, the International Education College of our university carried out the 2026 International Student Admissions Training and Application Guidance program on April 29 and 30. A deployment meeting was held on the first day to systematically assign key admissions tasks, followed by targeted application guidance for current language students on the second day. This dual-track approach reinforced management safeguards while smoothing academic progression pathways, laying a solid foundation for the smooth and efficient implementation of the 2026 admissions work.
The first session, closely following the main theme of "Strengthening Standards Through Training," served as a comprehensive deployment meeting for the 2026 international student admissions work. Ms. Zhou Linghua and Ms. Jiang Sui from the International Student Management Office outlined the overall admissions plan, systematically explaining document review procedures, key review points, and disciplinary requirements, while clarifying job responsibilities and the code of conduct. The meeting stressed that the admissions team serves as the "first gate" of the admissions process and must uphold a strong sense of responsibility and a meticulous, rigorous work ethic to ensure that document review is standardized, fair, and efficient, thereby laying a strong groundwork for the subsequent interview, selection, and enrollment stages.

The application guidance session for language students, closely following the main theme of "Supporting Further Studies Through Guidance," served as an important initiative to optimize international student services. The session interpreted national-level admissions policies and scholarship assessment requirements, guiding students to plan ahead. Ms. Zhou Linghua focused on university-level details, explaining the specific requirements and key points for undergraduate, master's, and doctoral applications to help students avoid common mistakes. Outstanding international students Kang Shufen, Wang Zi, Li Mingcheng, and Ren Ni, representing bachelor's, master's, and doctoral levels, were invited to share their experiences, followed by a Q&A session to provide comprehensive support for students' academic progression.
